Welcome to Once Here, Still Moving - a split-bill collaboration between RESILIENCE Dance Company and Hot Crowd.
We are thrilled to have you join us for the St. Louis premiere of two original pieces. Over the past 8-12 weeks, both companies have been independently creating in response to a central prompt: how space, place, and time define our embodied histories and shape our present selves.
The resulting works exists in their own worlds - connected by shared movement values, a spirit of play, the integration of props, and interest in abstract storytelling.
You are invited to experience each on your own terms. Dive into what catches your eye, engages your mind, moves your heart, and sparks your curiosity. Notice how space, place, and time affect the dancers on stage - what spaces are important, what stories are unfolding there, when there is growth, change, discovery or loss... You will find storytelling and relationships at every turn. How you uncover your own humanity within the works is up to you.
Thank you so much for being here - read on for more information, artist bios, and acknowledgements
