Choreographic Intensive

Dancers will work with RDC Season Choreographer Will Brighton to create an original work over a week-long residency. This experience provides an exciting glimpse into professional life and incorporates RESILIENCE's creative processes. Each day will include a technique class followed by two rehearsal blocks, culminating in a performance during the second annual St. Louis Contemporary Dance Festival, hosted by RESILIENCE Dance Company at COCA's Staenberg Performance Lab.

Pre-Professional Intensive
June 16th - June 21st, 2025

This 6-day intensive is designed for pre-professional dancers looking to elevate their technique and artistry. Dancers will participate in contemporary modern, floorwork, ballet, and improvisation classes while gaining valuable professional insight through professional development sessions with the company dancers. Additional workshops will cover injury prevention, choreography, and contemporary partnering. The program culminates in a performance of company repertoire, showcasing the dancers' progress. This intensive offers a perfect balance of technical training, creative exploration, and real-world preparation for aspiring professionals. Designed for advanced high schoolers but may be a great fit for some college students - feel free to reach out for more info!

Summer Intensive
June 23rd -27th, 2025
Ages: 11 - 18

Open to all dance students looking to strengthen their technique, grow their artistry, and expand their creative horizons! RDC's one-week Summer Intensive incorporates a variety of technique classes in contemporary modern, ballet, floorwork, improvisation and more. Students will also learn original choreography, participate in workshops that promote healthy and sustainable dance practices, and have the opportunity to perform in a showcase at the end of the program.
