2026 Audition Workshop
Historically, RDC has hosted full day auditions that blend technique, repertoire, partnering, and creative process. With no registration fee to participate, we know many dancers attend our audition for experience, personalized feedback, and networking, in addition to seeking employment. Despite having no company positions available this upcoming season, we aim to preserve this community and educational space by hosting an Audition Workshop.

How it works:
RDC will host two, pay-what-you-can workshops: a technique and rep workshop in the morning, and a partnering and creative process workshop in the afternoon.
Dancers can pre-register for one or both workshops using our Google Form by March 14th. Registration for each workshop will cap at 45 participants to ensure a safe and meaningful experience.
In addition, dancers may opt-in to receive personalized feedback via a virtual meeting following the audition. This opportunity will be limited to the first 30 dancers who opt-in, due to time constraints.

Where: St. Louis Academy of Dance - 9656 Olive Blvd., Olivette, MO 63132
When: Sunday, March 15th
9am - 12pm: Technique and Rep Workshop
1pm - 4pm: Partnering and Creative Process Workshop

Who Should Participate in the Audition Workshop:

College upperclassmen looking for audition experience and feedback.

Professional dancers interested in connecting with the company for future opportunities.

Advanced dancers looking to grow their skills in contemporary partnering, release techniques, floorwork or creative process.

Dancers interested in connecting with fellow movers and choreographers for collaborative opportunities.

While there are no season positions available, RDC has historically contracted with (and paid) several local community artists for corporate events, community performances, and choreographic opportunities. We have a local network of artists to whom we reach out when these opportunities arise, and most of them had a touchpoint with the company like class or a previous audition experience. If you are interested in gigging with RDC and have the means to attend the workshop, we highly recommend it so we can get to know you!
