I. What We Bring to the Table
Choreography: Holly Seitz Marchant & David Marchant in collaboration with the dancers
Dancers: Hannah Bialecki, Chrissy Clair, Emily Duggins Ehling, Kami Miller, Hanna Pierce, Emily Small
Music: Nils Frahm (Them; Our Own Roof; My Friend the Forest)
Costumes: Chrissy Clair
What We Bring to the Table began with a starting point, following leads, welcoming the unknown and finding our place. The dance is a process—a dynamic, responsive collaboration, inviting the artwork to unfold and make sense on its own terms. Each performance is a unique window into the creative presence of each person and a tacit understanding of moving from moment to moment together.
For Emily Richard, scientist and educator who believed that the deepest learning comes from following open-ended "starting points” towards an unexpected discovery.
II. Echo
Choreography: Emilia Sandoval
Dancers: Hannah Bialecki (Sat/Sun 2:30), Emily Duggins Ehling, Kami Miller, Emily Small (Sun 7:30)
Music: Childish Gambino (0.00); Keane (Untitled 1)
Costumes: Emilia Sandoval
As artists, we are always investigating the dynamic relationship between thought and physicality. In the spirit of this research, I created Echo as a visual window into what it feels like to experience the loop of internal chaos. There are many things that can lead us into turbulent thought, and when we are there, it can feel familiar yet unpredictable, loud yet lonely, out-of-body yet enclosed, and unending. This balance of contradiction becomes a theme throughout the work and draws both performers and viewers into an episode of its own.
III. Ways to move in harmony
Choreography: Emily Haussler in collaboration with the dancers
Dancers: Hannah Bialecki, Chrissy Clair, Emily Duggins Ehling, Kami Miller, Hanna Pierce, Emily Small
Music: Hildur Guðnadóttir (Aether, Whiten); Helios (Lighthouse); Paul Haslinger (Intrinsic). Editing by Emily Haussler
Costumes: Emily Haussler
Somehow, through chaos, we manage to stumble upon harmony.
IV. Soft Fire
Choreography: Victoria Lynn Awkward of VLA DANCE
Dancers: Hannah Bialecki, Chrissy Clair, Josiah Gundersen, Kami Miller, Hanna Pierce
Music: Otis Redding (Try a Little Tenderness)
Costumes: Victoria Lynn Awkward
This piece was inspired by the following Nayyirah Waheed poem from the book Salt.
“you do not have to be a fire for every mountain blocking you. you could be a water and soft river your way to freedom too. - options”
V. Worthy of Rest

Within this work, we decided to acknowledge how burnt out we actually currently feel. As products of a capitalistic society, we push ourselves to keep moving toward a goal, with little to no room for rest, recharging and self-love. We pay tribute to this struggle with “Worthy of Rest”. As two Queer Latinx women, who express their identities thorugh their movement vocabulary, we acknowledge that the dancers don't share the same identities as our own. For us, dancers do not represent our identities or who we are, but serve us as a canvas to express ourselves in the most authentic way.
