BRITTNI 
COLLINS

Vice President & Secretary

Brittni has been dancing for over 25 years. She is from the St. Louis area where she was trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theater, hip-hop and modern. During her time as a competitive dancer, Brittni participated in numerous regional and national dance competitions and has taken classes from many well-known dancers and choreographers all over the United States. Brittni has been a company dancer for Collaboration Dance Company and the University-of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL) performing tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and modern pieces for the St. Louis area. Brittni spent 3 years with the University of Central Missouri's Nationally Ranked Mulekickers Dance Team where she served as captain her junior and senior year. She continues teaching and choreographing for different studios and competitive school teams in Missouri. She continues her dance education while serving the community in diverse ways.

Brittni holds a Master's in Clinical/Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) working to combine the world of dance movement and mental health. She strives to help adolescents and adults use dance as a way to combat anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders or any other challenging diagnosis. Brittni is currently a private practice therapist serving the St. Louis community and spent over 10 years in different agency settings helping children, youth, families, adults and elders with emotional, behavioral and mental health. Brittni currently volunteers her time providing group psychotherapy to the artists of RESILIENCE Dance Company (RDC). She is also the creator and facilitator of Empowered Movement, an intensive and interactive mental health and movement workshop for children, adolescents and educators of dance studios, teams and companies.

Brittni is humbled and honored to be selected as a founding board member for RDC. She connects with RDC's mission on a personal and professional level that allows her to bring unique passion, education and experience. She is proud to serve with a diverse and passionate board that will support the goals and dreams of RDC's development as a company and community partner.
