Elyse joins Resilience Dance Company’s board to help drive their mission forward of putting artists first. As a retired concert dancer and current SHRM-CP(Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional), she sees the necessity of paying artists a living wage and encouraging them to show up as their full and authentic selves. Elyse is a native Oklahoman and has called St. Louis home since 2012 when she joined Modern American Dance Company(MADCO). During her time with MADCO, Elyse performed extensively, participated in and led company residencies, educational programs and master classes, and had the true pleasure of leading MADCO 2 during their 2018 and 2019 seasons. Since retiring in early 2020, Elyse continues to explore her creativity by dabbling in new artforms like crochet and long-form improvisation. Presently Elyse works as the employee success executive for local industrial marketing agency, Gorilla 76. She hopes to bring her knowledge of human resources to Resilience Dance Company as the organization grows and thrives!
