Ana (she/her) has loved to dance since age three. She grew up dancing at a local studio in Plano, IL. At age 14, she moved to Madison, WI to begin more intensive training with Monona Academy of Dance, Dance Wisconsin, and Barrio Dance. Under the direction of incredible mentors, including JoJean Retrum, Danielle Fuhrmann, Ashley Christensen, Chelsey Bradley, Elise Jessup, and Miye Bishop, Ana was recognized by Youth America Grand Prix by being awarded 1st Place Senior Contemporary in Chicago and by Regional Dance America MidStates as Senior Outstanding Soloist for three consecutive years. After graduating high school, Ana spent a year at The Grainger Academy of the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago as a Contemporary Ballet Trainee. There, she had the opportunity to perform works choreographed by Director Katlin Michael Bourgeois, Manoela Goncalves, Jainil Mehta, Martha Nichols, Anne O’Donnell Passero, and Alexander Ekman. The following season, she trained under Director of School and Studio Company, Rachel Nye, and the faculty of Oklahoma City Ballet Yvonne Chouteau School and freelanced with various entities including RACE Dance Collective under Executive Director Sheri Hayden and Founder Hui Cha Poos.
Ana moved to St. Louis in 2025 to begin her first season with Resilience Dance Company and has adored her time here. She is currently an instructor at Emily Jane Dance Center and pursuing a BFA in Modern Dance at Webster University. She is so grateful to continue her journey with Resilience and share her passion for dance!
